My name is Marquita (she/they) and I am a photography and birth enthusiast homegrown in Atlanta, GA, but I called Seattle home for the past 10 years. I’m now back in the South,  residing south of Atlanta with my 2 tiny humans.

My professional background is in Social Work, which has blossomed into beautiful careers along the way, including: a Full Spectrum Doula, a Trained Midwife, Bereavement Doula, and a Perinatal Grief & Trauma Therapist. Since starting this work in 2008, I have had the incredible privilege to attend over 200 births and held families hands through the many different paths that pregnancy and birth can take. 

My love of photography blossomed early on in life when my mother gifted me my first film camera, a Kodak 110 complete with flash bulbs. However, it wasn’t until the birth of my rainbow baby in 2012 that my passion for photography was set ablaze!

I love having a “job” that allows me to combine some of my most favorite parts of life: photography, holding space, and witnessing people’s journeys. I am so honored to be invited into my clients’ sacred moments and capture life as it unfolds. My photography style encapsulates the many facets of life to provide an opportunity for reflection, transformation, and remembrance for years to come.
